FRONTPAGE
WARNING: Any changes to your .htaccess file outside
of Microsoft Frontpage may corrupt your Microsoft Frontpage
extensions and render your site inaccessible. If you are using
Frontpage, do not use the Control Panel to create password
protected directories, instead use Frontpage to protect the
directories.
Because
we do not allow telnet access, we offer a utility which allows
you to setup password protected directories using your Control
Panel. This utility is called Password Protector and can be
used to create .htaccess and .htpasswd files.
More
information on htaccess can be found on the following web
sites:
How
do I remove password protection for a directory I password protected
with the Password Protector?
Using your FTP program, delete the .htaccess and .htpasswd file
from the directory you wish to stop protecting. |
